The Design Brief

The clients wanted a garden that served as a beautiful backdrop to their home. Their converted bungalow in Canley had good structural elements with existing oak pergolas, but the remainder of the garden was just empty lawn lacking character and purpose.

Located in one of Coventry’s most desirable suburbs, this garden needed to complement the property’s calibre whilst providing low-maintenance beauty and a productive growing space.

Challenges and Solutions

Challenge:

  • Waterlogged lawn caused by a hidden spring next door
  • Paths would need to handle constant moisture
  • Wanted smooth flow between different garden areas

Solution:

  • Installed drainage to fix the drainage issues
  • Used a moisture-proof composite decking path
  • Designed gentle curves to link garden zones and views from the house
The garden is wonderful and lifts me every time I look at it!
Thank you, so much.
