Flowers Foremost

The Brief

When the homeowners moved in, their front garden was just a basic lawn.

They wanted a front garden design with lots of floral interest and needed to solve a security issue caused by neighbours walking over the lawn as a shortcut.

The Design

To keep neighbours from crossing the lawn, we added a lavender hedge around the garden perimeter.

We also created a formal plant bed surrounded by low box hedging and added box balls, cones, and a Euonymus standard for year-round interest.

Window boxes and climbers complete the design, and a shady rockery and mini wildflower meadow were added to the side of the house for extra charm.

A series of successional bulbs add interest over a long season.
